We brought him home on Friday, 3/3/2006. Overall, he's doing very well. He's still on caffeine to keep his heart rate up, and
because of that he's also on a heart monitor, but otherwise he's fine. He was just over 5 pounds the day we brought him home.

First movie of Donovan at home
April 24, 2006
Sorry for the lack of recent updates. We brought him home a few weeks
before his due date. Since he was still early, he was very small (5 lbs)
and only ate every 3-5 hours. As he reached his due date, he started
behaving like a true newborn and eating every two hours,
resulting in reduced sleep for mom and dad, and thus leading to very few
updates. If he ever went 3 or 4 hours between feedings, it was usually in
the afternoon. That's why there were so few updates. But we knew everyone
wanted to see the little guy, so we finally made some time to post new
pics on the 24th.

Later that week (just before the end of the month) an equally amazing
thing happened--he has finally gotten over that first hump and
is once again sometimes going up to 4 or 5 hours between feedings. A
typical schedule (if such a conclusion can be drawn after 5 days) is a
meal at around 10pm or midnight, then sleep until a 3 or 4am feeding, then
the next meal at around 8 or 9am. This is much nicer than the previous
schedule of 10pm, midnight, 2am, 4am, 6am, 8am, 10am, and so on
throughout the day.

Wow! Talk about progress! This past weekend he started sleeping 7-8 hours
at night! This kid rules! More pics coming soon.
And now, a month's worth of pics:
Here he is in his St. Patrick's Day outfit, which we bought at a teddy
bear store:
